We believe Peace of mind is priceless at school.
We are a team, and believe that the development of each child should be shared responsibly between the parents and the teacher. We, therefore, encourage you, as the parent, to become involved in the education of your child. We have an open door policy and would appreciate all comments and suggestions. Your child will be cared for and taught by dedicated teachers and experienced child minders. We are proud to provide a caring, safe environment for your child, one which ensures optimal learning experiences.
We include ActionBall, which is a sport and fitness programme . These lessons take place at school and all kiddies take part.
Children are given a mid-morning snack of seasonal fresh fruit, yoghurt or biscuits and are provided with a YUMMY substantial, healthy cooked meal at lunch-time. The two week rotation menu is displayed on the wall in the kitchen. We strive to incorporate sustained energy (Low GI) foods in our meals, in order to promote a healthy lifestyle and to optimize learning.
After sleep time, the children are given a treat of biscuits and juice. For those children staying full day, a late afternoon snack of brown bread sandwiches and water is supplied. Please ensure that any allergies are reported to the class teacher and to the office. No other food, drinks or sweets will be permitted at school, as this causes arguments and unhappiness amongst the children.
Generally, children embarking on their very first experience at school are being exposed to their first encounters within a schooling environment. This means, that they are quite likely to come into contact with more germs than before, making them more susceptible to illness. Although distressing at the time, it helps to build up the child’s immunity so we strongly recommend that your child take a daily vitamin. We promote the drinking of water, for both staff and children alike, to ensure the healthiest option for hydration and for brain development.
As we enter upon a new journey of discovery and growth, we are truly excited and committed to unlocking the full potential of each child in our care.
