MORE ABOUT OLDSWORTH ACCOMMODATION....
The original house (Oldsworth) was built in the early 1930's when the act of building was still done in the age old tradition of the masonry art.
The ceilings is typical of the period, high for the coolness of the South African summers. The wooden floors lend that little extra to create an authentic antique atmosphere, not to mention the décor with appropriate furniture. Upon entering the house it is as if time has come to a standstill and the pleasant restfulness overwhelms you, stripping you immediately of all urges to carry on with the rushes of the times.
Attractive B & B rooms en-suite and fully equipped Self-Catering apartments;
Secure off-street parking for vehicles;
Beautiful sundeck for relaxing.
Oldsworth Accommodation is situated in the town Strand, a bustling metropolis of some 50 000 residents, which is situated on the shores of False Bay. Strand, along with Somerset West and Gordon's Bay, forms part of the picturesque hub of the HELDERBERG BASIN which is one of the most visually dramatic areas in the Cape.
The Hottentots Holland and Helderberg Mountain ranges create a powerful backdrop against which the valley descends into vineyards and finally on to a coastline swept with warm waters and effortlessly sandy beaches.
Strand is one of the most beautiful coast lines in the Cape, with it's famous 5 km stretch of silver sand. It is considered as being one of the safest beaches in the Cape Province. It's also known as the golden mile.
